Freedom in the Abundant Life
Series: The Abundant Life
The Abundant Life is full of joy and freedom from the power of sin if we live by faith. Philippians 3:10 talks about Paul’s desire to know Christ and the power of His resurrection. We obtain the abundant life through justification (Romans 5: 1-9), substitution (Galatians 2:20 and 5:24), and consecration (Romans 12:1). Then we must walk in the Spirit (Romans 5:16-17) and give up works of the flesh (Romans 5: 19-21).

Jun 24, 2018Adding Spice to Your LifeSeries: The Abundant LifeThe abundant life adds spice to your life through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. One such gift might be a calm spirit in the midst of a storm. You can be a believer and not experience the abundant life. We have to deal with sin until the day we die, but God gives us power over sin. Unfortunately, we don’t always exercise that power. We need to get to the point where we have a calm spirit in the midst of the storms of life. John 10: 10; Luke 13: 10-16 (NKJV)

- Apr 1, 2018Sharing the Good News
Apr 1, 2018Sharing the Good NewsSeries: EasterSometimes distractions get in the way of sharing the good news. In today’s world, cell phones present a huge distraction to many people. They are constantly looking at them, interacting with them, not even noticing the world around them. Satan tried to distract Nehemiah from rebuilding the temple, and he tries to use modern technology to distract us from listening to and following God’s Word. As Christians, we need to be focused on sharing the Good News that Jesus died, was buried and rose on the third day and is alive today! With so many people attached to their cell phones today, we need to help them connect to God through His Word and we can do that with the Bible.is app. (Nehemiah 6:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 NKJV)

Romans 10:9-11 gives us the purpose of the crucifixion and the resurrection. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
