The Faith of a Mustard Seed
To be effective witnesses, we must be humble and forgiving (the Bible says seven times seventy). In order to be forgiving as Christ wants us to be, we must have faith; faith based on who God is, what He has done, and what He has promised. Luke 17: 1-10; Hebrews 11: 1, 11 (NIV)

    Abraham Is Tested
    Series: No Series
God tested Abraham several times in the book of Genesis. First He asked him to leave his home, then He promises him a son but the promise takes nearly 25 years to be fulfilled. Finally, He asks Abraham to sacrifice his son. However, just as God provided a substitute ram for Isaac, God provided Jesus as a substitute sacrifice for us. Genesis 22: 1-14; Hebrews 11: 17-19 (HCSB)

    Achieving Contentment
    Series: No Series
Contentment is not innate, meaning people are not born with contentment. It is something that we must learn. What do you do to learn contentment? Exodus 15: 22-27; Philippians 4: 11-13; Romans 8:28 (NIV)

    Our Work Ethic
Our work ethic is a great way to witness about our faith. Work was instituted in Genesis 3 and Paul talks about our work ethic in Colossians when he says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,”. Genesis 3: 17-19; Ephesians 6: 5-8, Colossians 3:23 (NIV)

    Selfishness
Many people go to church, but don’t interact with other believers. God wants us to have fellowship with other believers and to develop relationships with them. We can do this through attending Bible study, praying, meeting together outside of church, visiting the sick and needy together, etc. Brother Mike explains why this is an important part of our Christian witness to others. (Acts 2:42-47; Romans 16; 1 Corinthians 16:1-4; Hebrews 10:23-24 (NKJV)

    Tame Your Tongue
Do you have a problem getting others to believe that you are a Christian? Perhaps you are a stumbling block. Constant complaining keeps us from having a good witness. It’s not that we don’t believe-it’s that we don’t show we believe or trust in God’s plan when we constantly complain about things in our lives. Matthew 26:47-27:26 (HCSB)
