Resurrection Sunday
Series: Easter
On the day of Jesus’ resurrection, Mary, John, and Peter visited the tomb only to find Jesus gone. They did not yet know or understand the scriptures that said He would rise again. They were afraid and hid in a house with all the doors and windows locked. It was there that the risen Lord visited them. John 20: 1-3; 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4; James 1: 23-25 (NKJV)

Apr 1, 2018Sharing the Good NewsSeries: EasterSometimes distractions get in the way of sharing the good news. In today’s world, cell phones present a huge distraction to many people. They are constantly looking at them, interacting with them, not even noticing the world around them. Satan tried to distract Nehemiah from rebuilding the temple, and he tries to use modern technology to distract us from listening to and following God’s Word. As Christians, we need to be focused on sharing the Good News that Jesus died, was buried and rose on the third day and is alive today! With so many people attached to their cell phones today, we need to help them connect to God through His Word and we can do that with the Bible.is app. (Nehemiah 6:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 NKJV)

Many signs and wonders occurred that week, with the catalyst being the resurrection of Lazarus after he had been dead for more than three days. This event initiated the death notice for Jesus by the Pharisees and Sadducees. Brother Mike takes us through this week and to the crucifixion of our Lord. Romans 10:9-11 gives us the purpose of the crucifixion and the resurrection. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Mark 11:1-21 (HCSB)"04-09-2017".

There are those who oppose or resist the prompting of the Holy Spirit to believe. There are those who gladly receive God’s Word and try to apply it to their lives. Then there is a third group where many tend to fall, even those who proclaim to be Christians-that group is one of indifference. Where do you fall? (Book of Acts)
